R.R. on Bad Girls Don't Die

     In the book "Bad Girls Don't Die" the main character Alexis is always told that her younger sister Kasey is crazy. Alexis always gets made fun of by her friends, especially by one of Surrey High School's most popular girls, Pepper Laird. Kasey once broke Pepper's younger sister, Mimi's arm. Now, Pepper always tells Alexis that Kasey is psycho. Alexis is starting to wonder if what everyone tells her about Kasey might be true.
     One evening after school, Alexis went home and decided to take a nap. She had a dream that she was on a beach, laying in the sand with a ton of porcelain dolls surrounding her. Throughout the dream, the dolls kept repeating to her over and over that Kasey was crazy. In and out of her dream, Alexis could hear Kasey in the room next door talking to her dolls. Alexis woke up and yelled, "Why are you talking to your dolls? You know you're thirteen right?!" (pg.47) Kasey just shrugged and kept denying it.
     In addition to everyone telling Alexis these horrible things about Kasey, Alexis also is suspecting that it might be true, because Kasey has a really high temper. Kasey's moods change often when she's around Alexis. One night, Alexis was laying down on her bed, and Kasey walked into the room. She asked Alexis for help with an extra credit project that was due just the next day. A few minutes later, after Alexis agreed to help her, Kasey's personality quickly changed when Alexis switched the topic. Alexis asked Kasey about breaking Mimi's arm. Kasey picked up one of her stuffed animals and threw it across the room. "Mimi Laird and her sister Pepper Laird are fathead liars! She has no idea what she's talking about! She's just clumsy! A clumsy liar!" (pg.52) Kasey slammed the door and stormed out of the room.
     Alexis is really worried because something might actually be wrong with Kasey. She never thought that it could be true, but due to Kasey's recent behavior, there's no doubt that something may be wrong. Alexis was even thinking that Kasey's dolls may be possessing her. This makes me really curious and shocked because Alexis was someone that always stood up for Kasey and defended her in times like this, but now everything's starting to change.
